Ayer en el debate de vicepresidentes Dick Cheney aconsejó visitar Factcheck.com para comprobar su versión de los hechos en uno de los temas de debate relacionado con Halliburton.
Cheney se equivocó al decir la dirección y debió haber apuntado a Factcheck.org que es un sitio que comprueba o desmiente aseveraciones hechas por políticos, el problema (para el) es que el Factcheck.com hace una redirección a GeorgeSoros.com, sitio el cual empieza con:
Why we must not re-elect President Bush.
Aún si Cheney hubiera dicho correctamente el URL, hubiera salido perdiendo según un artículo de Factcheck.org:
Cheney got our domain name wrong -- calling us "FactCheck.com" -- and wrongly implied that we had rebutted allegations Edwards was making about what Cheney had done as chief executive officer of Halliburton. In fact, we did post an article pointing out that Cheney hasn't profited personally while in office from Halliburton's Iraq contracts, as falsely implied by a Kerry TV ad. But Edwards was talking about Cheney's responsibility for earlier Halliburton troubles. And in fact, Edwards was mostly right.
